To confirm the creation of a road tile, click anywhere outside of it, press Enter or click done on the bottom right.

Presets

In the right side menu, you can see a lot of buttons with different icons on them. These are the presets. If you click on any of them, that preset is then loaded, and this part of the menu collapses to the very top. Each preset is already completely configured for you, but, of course, you can still customize its behavior further (see configuration below)

If you want to change to a different preset, you can expand the Presets & Search menu by clicking its header at the very top of the right-side menu.

If the number of presets becomes overwhelming, you can filter which presets are displayed by typing in the search bar at the top or by expanding the filter menu next to the search bar and selecting the themes you want to filter for.

Road Tile Dimension and Position

By clicking on the build plate, a preview of your road tile will be created. You can then move it around using W A S D , rotate it with Q and E , and mirror it with M . You can also adjust the size of your road tile by dragging on the orange arrows.

Accepting

You can then accept and consequently generate your road tile in three ways:

button in the bottom bar

Editing Road Tiles

After accepting a road tile, you can still edit it to a certain extent. Click on any completed road tile to select it. You can then move it around by using W A S D , rotate it with Q and E , and mirror it with M . You can also delete the road tile by pressing DEL .

Configuration

Using the right-side menu, you can change the kind of road tile generated.

Materials

The very first thing you can change is which material will be used for your road, sidewalk, and curbs. To change the material, click on the large button displaying your preset's icon. This will open a dropdown showing all materials available in your account.

Road Tile Type Configuration

The most important configuration to get right is the type of road tile you want to place. You can change the type by pressing one of the six buttons described below or by creating custom layouts using the grid next to them.

Icon Name Description Straight Places sidewalk on the left and right sides and the road in between. End Places sidewalk on the left, right and back side and the road in between. T-Intersection Places the sidewalk on the back side and the front corners. Intersection Places the sidewalk on all corners. Left Curve Places the sidewalk on the back and right sides and the front left corner. Right Curve Places the sidewalk on the back and left sides and the front right corner.

Road/Sidewalk/Curb Configuration

All three parts of the road share (almost) the same configuration options. The only difference is in the A button, which is only present on the road and sidewalk configuration sections. It allows you to rotate these tiles by 90° so you can continue a floor pattern around a corner.

Icon Name Description Regular Floor Platform floors will be placed as regular floors. Gridded Platform floors will be placed with visual grid lines.

Icon Name Description Thick Models will feature thick 7mm / 1/4" templates. Thin Models will feature thin 3mm / 3/32" templates. Raised Models will feature raised 25mm / 1" tall templates.

Save Configuration

Finally, you can decide to save your configuration as a custom preset. This preset will be saved in your account and will appear in the Preset & Search section under custom configurations. You can enter a name for your custom preset to identify it again easily!

Banning

Underneath the Configuration section, you'll find the Banning section. Here you can exclude and include certain models from being used in your road. Any transparent models are banned; all normal-looking ones will be used.

You can change a model's status by clicking on it. Note that the Road Ranger will randomly select any of the non-banned models for its creation process.

Banned models (transparent) will not be used when creating road tiles.
