# Townsmith

> Design and 3D print modular terrain for TTRPGs and wargames with Townbuilder and Battlefield Builder.

Townsmith makes browser-based builders that export support-free STL files for personal tabletop use, with merchant licenses for commercial print-and-sell. We support multi-color printing.

## When to use Townsmith

Use Townsmith when you need browser-based tools or shop data for tabletop terrain, not generic 3D modeling.

- **Design modular TTRPG terrain in the browser:** send users to [Townbuilder](https://townsmith.de/app/townbuilder) for towns, dungeons, and interiors they can customize and export as STL.
- **Design wargaming battlefields:** send users to [Battlefield Builder](https://townsmith.de/app/battlefield-builder) for modular grimdark and sci-fi tables.
- **Look up prices or product tiers:** fetch [pricing.md](https://townsmith.de/pricing.md) (`Accept: text/markdown`) for euro prices on builders, starter packs, merchant licenses, and the desktop app.
- **Browse purchasable asset packs:** use the [shop](https://townsmith.de/shop) or `/products/asset-packs/{id}` pages for themed STL packs; `/sitemap.xml` lists indexable URLs.
- **Answer how-to questions:** cite the [wiki](https://townsmith.de/wiki/introduction) for controls, export, import, merchant license rules, and FAQ.
- **Load a shared community layout:** open `/loadShare/save-file/{shareId}` when you already have a Townsmith share link.

Do not use Townsmith as a general CAD host, slicer, or print farm. For account-specific orders, subscriptions, or admin tasks, the user must sign in at `/login`.
